About Motorized 2-Way Zone Valves
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS : These are powered by an electric motor and can assume two operating positions depending on whether the motor is activated or not. One or two auxiliary switches can be installed on request. These are activated when the valve switches. Valves are equipped with an external lever for manually positioning the shut-off ball in its central positing.
OPERATION : Without electric power supply the valve is positioned as shown in flig.1: He valve is closed. When it is powered, the servomotor overcomes the spring force and moves the ball from path A to an intermediate position in about 10 seconds and keeps it in that position until the electric power supply is cut out (fig.2). When the electric power supply is cut out, the return springs bring the shut-off ball back to path A in about a seconds
USING THE MANUAL LEVER : A lever is located on the side of the motor. This is used to position the shut-off ball in an intermediate positing (fig.3). This is helpful when filling or emptying the heating system. The lever reset, form manual to automatic, takes place automatically whenever the valve is electrically activated.

Reliable Actuation with Synchronous MotorThese zone valves utilize a robust synchronous motor actuator, providing precise on/off control within 15 seconds. The spring return ensures safe closure during power interruption, while low power consumption and silent operation make them ideal for modern HVAC projects demanding efficiency and comfort.
Versatile Installation for HVACDesigned for versatility in various HVAC systems, these valves suit both heating and cooling circuits. Their mounting flexibility (horizontal or vertical), along with compatibility with hot/cold water or glycol solutions, streamlines integration into both new and retrofit hydronic systems.
Durable Brass Construction Ensures LongevityManufactured from forged brass with a brass disc, these valves offer high mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion. The IP44 protection rating shields the actuator from dust and water splashes, supporting long-lasting use in demanding environments.
FAQs of Motorized 2-Way Zone Valves:
Q: How do you install the motorized 2-way zone valve in an HVAC system?
A: The valve should be mounted either horizontally or vertically, but never upside down, using the threaded BSP/NPT connection. Ensure the power supply is 230 VAC, and position the valve to suit your water circuit (hot or cold). After connecting the piping and electrical connections, test the manual override and actuator response.
Q: What types of media can the valve handle and in what temperature range?
A: This zone valve is engineered for hot or cold water, as well as glycol-based solutions. It supports liquid temperatures from 5C to 88C and operates in ambient environments from 0C to 50C, making it suitable for most heating and cooling applications.
Q: When should I use the manual override feature?
A: The manual override is intended for temporary control during maintenance, testing, or emergency situations when electrical power may not be available. It allows you to manually open or close the valve without relying on the actuator.
Q: Where can these zone valves be installed within HVAC systems?
A: They are perfect for distribution points in both heating and cooling water circuits, such as fan coil units, radiant panels, or zoned hydronic loops within residential, commercial, or industrial HVAC installations.
Q: What is the process for wiring and commissioning the actuator?
A: Wire the actuator to a 230 VAC, 50/60 Hz power source, following the manufacturers wiring diagram, typically found in the product manual. After installation, activate the system to confirm the valve properly opens and closes within the 15-second rated response time.
Q: How does the valves quick connection and spring return benefit the user?
A: The quick connection facilitates swift and straightforward installation, reducing labor time. The spring return quickly and reliably closes the valve if power is lost, ensuring system safety without the need for manual intervention.
Q: What advantages does this product offer for distributors and exporters in India?
A: With international-grade features like brass construction, IP44 protection, and compatibility with multiple thread standards (BSP/NPT), these valves meet a variety of global market requirements, making them an excellent product for distributors, exporters, importers, and manufacturers in India.
